"The first legitimate workshop of my career," wrote Hermann Hesse about this house. In 1904, the writer settled in the Lake Constance village on the Höri peninsula. On the first floor of the Höri museum, located right next to the first house in which Hesse lived, Gaienhofen has dedicated a separate section to its famous citizen. First editions, writings, paintings, photos, as well as personal effects, such as his first typewriter and two of his many pairs of reading glasses, document the period Hermann Hesse spent living in Gaienhofen.
