Márton Kalász

Born in southern Hungary in 1934, studied in Pécs, subsequently working as a reporter, editor, publisher's reader, and acting as director of the Institute of Hungarian Culture in Stuttgart up until 1994, 17 volumes of poetry, and the novel Winterlamm ("Winter Lamb"). Ironically critical analyses of the social situation and changes in his home country. In 1999, Dunkle Wunde (Dark Wound), a collection of his own poems on Hölderlin, published in German translation.
